How to Review Automatic Business Payments
Automatic payments are convenient, but they are also easy to forget.
Your business may be paying automatically for software, memberships, advertising tools, insurance, storage, phone services, or other subscriptions.
Create a list of every recurring payment connected to your business bank account and credit cards. Include the service name, amount, payment date, and reason for the expense.
Review the list every few months.
Ask whether the service is still being used and whether the cost has increased. Check for free trials thatbecame paid subscriptions and services purchased by former workers or for completed projects.
Also look for duplicate services. A business may be paying for several programs that perform similar tasks.
Before canceling something, make sure it is not connected to an important part of the business. Save anyrecords or files you may need before closing an account.
Automatic payment reviews are not only about saving money. They also help you understand upcomingcharges and avoid surprises in your bank account.
